About the JRCF

Our Mission

To build and lead a better community through collaboration and charitable giving.

Our Story

Founded on December 16, 2006, the Joplin Regional Community Foundation was created to strengthen our region through strategic philanthropy and community leadership. What began as a vision to coordinate charitable giving has grown into a vital community institution managing over $13.5 million in assets and distributing more than $61 million in grants to organizations serving Joplin, Carl Junction, and Webb City.

We serve as a bridge between those who want to give and the organizations doing critical work in our community. By providing professional stewardship, strategic grantmaking, and deep community knowledge, we help donors maximize their impact while ensuring nonprofits have sustainable resources to fulfill their missions.

Our Approach

We believe in thoughtful, strategic giving that creates lasting change. Through rigorous vetting of grant applications, transparent financial management, and ongoing assessment of community needs, we ensure every dollar entrusted to us makes the greatest possible impact.
